Revealed on World Amazon Day, the installation forms part of September’s ‘Annabel’s for the Amazon’ initiative, now entering its sixth year of supporting the Foundation and its work in reforestation and restoration efforts in the Amazon rainforest, and supporting women and children in the UK and Brazil.
To date, ‘Annabel’s for the Amazon’ has raised over £5.2 million, with 100% of all proceeds going directly to the Foundation’s causes.
Designed by Tatiana Kharchylava, Creative Director of Birley Clubs, this year’s façade features a thought-provoking depiction of the globe with trees emerging from it, representing the symbiotic relationship between Earth and Mother Nature. This striking visual underscores the essential role that trees play as the lungs of the planet, purifying the air we breathe and mitigating climate change.
Co-Founder of The Caring Family Foundation, Patricia Caring, states: “The fate of the Amazon rainforest impacts us all on Earth. Its destruction threatens countless species and endangers the health and future of every community on Earth. This reality drives The Caring Family Foundation’s urgent work to protect and restore this irreplaceable ecosystem before it is too late. There is still so much hope, and together we can restore, protect and build a thriving future for the Amazon.”
Marking its sixth year in 2025, The Caring Family Foundation continues to be one of the UK’s largest donors to Brazilian reforestation, planting over 3.4 million trees and seedlings and supporting over 39,000 Indigenous people so far. Its ongoing mission also focuses on providing access to specialist healthcare for Indigenous communities, launching a first-of-its-kind medical bus earlier this year, reaching 38,000 people residing in 1 million hectares of the Brazilian Amazon by the end of 2025.
Tatiana Kharchylava, Creative Director of The Birley Clubs, explains her inspiration for this year’s design:
“The Annabel’s for the Amazon façade brings the rainforest all the way from South America to London, through a glowing globe with trees emerging from its centre. The design symbolises the Amazon’s role as the lungs of the Earth, a visual reminder that the health of our entire planet depends on the survival of its forests.”
Annabel’s invites Members and the public alike to view the stunning new façade and participate in the ongoing Annabel’s for the Amazon fundraising campaign, a month dedicated to raising awareness of the urgent challenges facing the Amazon rainforest. Proud to support The Caring Family Foundation’s vital work in restoring the forest and empowering the Indigenous communities who have protected it for generations, Annabel’s will be hosting a serious of exclusive events and immersive activations inspired by the spirit and culture of the Amazon region.
Annabel’s display Light into Life (Release of Oxygen) 2023, by Marc Quinn, went up on the 4th September. Based on a Phalaenopsis orchid, dramatically enlarged, challenging the ordinary experience of touring a garden, where humans usually tower over flowers.
A bespoke cocktail menu available at Annabel’s, with proceeds from each sale donated to the Foundation, has been crafted in collaboration with Cincoro Tequila for the month of September. Cincoro Tequila was launched in 2019 by five NBA team owners— Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck of the Celtics, Jeanie Buss of the Lakers, Wes Edens of the Bucks, and NBA Legend Michael Jordan—who shared a passion for tequila and a vision to set the gold standard in the category.
